Cheap-and-cheerful Apology Dinner for Tuesday night
I overindulged last night and had to bail on a friend today. To make it up to her, I'm taking her to dinner Tuesday night, but she specifically noted that it had better be one of my 'Chowhound treasures'. So CHers, I need your help!
We're both omnivorous and very brave, and will go pretty much anywhere in the Boston/Brookline/Cambridge/Somerville area. But she's a Big Deal Chef (for real) and doesn't impress easily, and I work in education and am therefore mostly broke. I need to keep the total under $50 - well under, if possible.
I was thinking of Brother's Crawfish (and am now kicking myself for missing the Groupon), or Brookline Family Restaurant, but I wanted to pick your brains. If you could suggest especially awesome dishes at your restaurant, that would be great! Thank you!
