Come late September and well into October, people will be giving them away. There will be plenty of fare sold at discount by the 25-lb. box .Hang in there.

You might try calling Sorbello Girls to see how they handle seconds.

We don't even have to wait until September. My local produce stand, Pete's in Westtown, PA, is selling 25 pounds for $10 today. And their heirlooms are all selling for 99 cents a pound.

Ask at your local produce stands. It's likely they'll be able to sell you a crate of "seconds."

How far into NJ do you want to go? In Tabernacle there is Conte's and they always have them cheap. Also I have an egg farmer I go to in Southhampton and there is a farm stand right near their farm. . Saw a huge basket of smaller tomatoes for sale $7 The basket was almost knee high. Don't have a hame for this farm, but if you want directions I'd be happy to give them to you. It's about a mile off of Route 206, in between route 70 and 38, Let me know if you want direcions.
