Gas range - Convection oven - Yea or nay?

We are in the market to replace our 12-year old gas range.

We have two virtually identical options at our local box store. Both are GE and have configurations that appeal to us.

One is a bit of a better bargain (was a unit in a spec home and cannot be sold as new), but it does not come with a convection oven.

The other is new and has the convection technology.

Seeking opinions:
- Have you gone from conventional gas oven technology to convection and would never consider going back?

or

- Have you gone to convection and regretted the decision?

Results of this will be reported to Domestic Management for inclusion in the decision process.

Thanks in advance,

Monch

    convection hands down

saves energy and time in most applications,so how much would you save in the long term

If saving money is important, then I'd go with that one. If it really isn't, then convection can be nice.
