Simply Mochi, SF
I love fresh mochi. It's really good, just can get expensive.
Owner, Linda Lo, makes them & sells them online or pick-up place in SF Pot & Pantry: 3412 22nd St, SF. She sells them frozen at Bi-Rite Market too.
I picked:
Chocolate-strawberry mochi - 6 for $2 ea - Seasonal flavor. I liked it.
&
Nutella - 6 for $1.5 ea
My total $21 & I picked-up. I ate them the first day and they were great. 2nd day the mochi get a bit dried out. Didn't bother to freeze them, maybe that's a better way, but then thaw would take forever.
I want to try more flavors!! I recommend Simply Mochi & hope one day it'll be available in a local storefront.

I tried this place after trying to find mochi for a potluck. They have phenomenal flavors. I bought the chocolate strawberry, Nutella, lemon, and strawberry cheesecake (absolute favorite). Quite a few of my coworkers had never heard of or tried mochi before, but they were devouring them like crazy, with none left over. Very friendly service too. I highly recommend trying this place!
