ISO ballpark sausage

Last Sox game I asked a vendor what type of sausage he used and he told me...... (I knew I should have written it down). He said that basically all the vendors use "them." I am having a cook out next weekend and want to get some of this sausage, anyone have an idea what kind most of they use as well as where I can purchase it? Im travleing from RI, so the further south the better.

Thanks in advance

I believe the sausages used by the Fenway park vendors come from Bianco Sausage in Revere (http://www.biancosausage.com/). They've been reported about on Chronicle and elsewhere.

That is exactly who they said, thank you so much for your help! I will be making the drive up from Warwick later this week.

I believe it's best to call them before coming. They're not a big retail establishment, but if you tell them what you want over the phone they can have it ready for you when you arrive.

Agreed, but for what its worth, they usually have plenty of the boxes of sausages. The boxes are 5 lbs. each. I bought one sweet pork and one chicken a few months ago. Be warned (keeping in mind the old rule about not watching sausage being made) that you walk right into the butcher area to get to the little office where they sell retail. I did a few double takes. Also, you can sometimes find the boxes at Stop & Shop.
