What are your most creative or favorite pizza toppings?

I made a new dough recipe last night and have some pesto ready. Gonna make a jar of sauce and a white bean puree obviously not all for the same pizza! What is everyones favorite toppings!?

  1. My favorite topping is anchovies, good ones, and just a little bit of tomato, no cheese. I like to use good anchovies if I make it at home, but I happily eat the super-salty ones in pizza shops. Nobody I know likes them, so, more for me, but I'm kind of wistful.

    I also had a white pizza with shrimp that was awesome...but really, Lacy, you could put rocks on your pizza and I'd be there !

    1. pineapple, onion, and black olives.

      1. I don't know about creative.. but favorite is some kind of onion jam/marmalade, pears, and brie.

        1. It's tomato season, heck with creative- get some good cherry tomatoes, slice them in half (easier if you slice through the stem end) and put them on face up- c'est magnifique, and just the sort of thing your pizzeria won't take time with.

          1. Philly Cheesesteak Pizza. Shaved steak, Provolone cheese, sliced onion and bell pepper, mushrooms, and Teriyaki sauce.

            1. Pesto, crab meat, hot peppers, and feta. (seafood pizza) I also love potato pizza. Potatoes peeled and sliced thin using a mandolin, I then par boil to remove starch. Brush pizza dough with olive oil and then place potato slices on the pizza dough. Do not overlap potato. Add some hot pepper or/ sundried tomato, a little grated Romano cheese and some basil or rosemary. I prefer thin crust no matter what the toppings.

              1. Cave-aged gruyere and carmelized onions made with Asian sugar chili sauce.

                1. I recently made one brushed with olive oil and topped with homemade ricotta, carmelized onions, figs, prosciutto and fresh basil and oregano. Its now a favorite!
