Caribbean food in DC?
Hello all,
I am moving to DC soon from Caribbean-food-starved California. I am desperate for some good Puerto Rican mofongo, Dominican maduros, and Trinni rotis. Where can I go in DC to satisfy my cravings?
Thanks!

Teddy's Roti Shop on Georgia Avenue (almost in Silver Spring) has solid Trini food. The prices are pretty high, but all of the rotis and buss up shuts are enough for two meals.
I know you didn't mention Jamaican, but Pimento Grill in Anacostia gets rave reviews. Sweet Mango Cafe in Petworth is also decent, and it's right on top of the Metro, making it far easier to get to.
A lot of posters seem to ask about Puerto Rican food, but there's not a large Boricua community here, at least not compared to the northeast.

You can try the Banana Cafe close to Eastern Market they do cuban and boricua food. I have never been since I get a steady diet of Puerto Rican food at home
