I don't know if its worth a detour but its a fun place. It's set up in an old chicken coop so its laid back with a fun atmosphere. The chicken is pretty good and so are the crabs. The rest of the food was ok, nothing you can't find anywhere else.
We ended up going to On The Bay in OC and it was exactly what I was looking for. Steamed crabs, wonderful french fries, and very fresh cole slaw. It is really just a shack with picnic tables. Lots of fun and delicious.
