Best Meals this summer

Fellow Hounds! What have been your best meals this summer?

Mine: Black Sheep Bistro delivered my best meal, a perfect Tilapia, North Hero House offered the best fish and chips I have ever had. On the NY side, Cafe Mooney Bay served the best soft shell crabs you could ask for.

What have been your faves in Summer 2011?

  1. Grilled radicchio salad and quail at 40 Paper Camden, ME. My umpteenth pork belly sandwich at Shepherd's Pie Rockport, ME. Every visit to Primo...last time it was the shrimp and polenta, arrancini, and 1/2 dish of the smoked swordfish pasta. Grass fed burger and frites at Lily Bistro Rockland, ME. Every divine Reuben sandwich I get at Morse's in Waldoboro, ME. The duck confit pizza at In Good Company Rockland, ME.

    What a great summer.

    1. My pulled pork at BTs Smokehouse in Sturbridge on my way back from the Jersey Shore.

Not around here, but pizza from All Natural on Asbury Ave in Ocean City, NJ.

My trip to Bangor didn't yield anything amazing.

      1. The salmon dish I had at Starry Night Cafe in Ferrisburg, VT. To die for. Dessert down the road at Vermont Cookie Love was the perfect ending.

        1. Solo Farm &Table...Well thought out, perfectly executed. My favorite of many nice dishes was the chicken liver mousse...dang that is good stuff! It is so nice to have an amazing restaurant 15 minutes away in South Londonderry.
Coppa in Boston...sitting in the sun drinking amazing cocktails(The Merman,) salami urchin panini, beef heart pizza, and the winner crispy pigs tail.

          1. Last night. Hubs cooked. Stir fry of a variety of CSA veggies, garlic, ginger, chilies, water chestnuts, peanuts and kung pao marinated chicken in an asiany sauce. He stir fried in the wok over hot coals in the webber. Had over rice w a side of slaw. Crumbled good feta over the stir fry. Sounds weird but it perfectly balanced the hotness of this dish. Awesome to have the night off from cooking too. :)
