El Paso: Locals' favorite restaurants?
Hi, all. My husband is going to El Paso for business next week and wants to know: which restaurants are locals' favorites? Doesn't matter if it's breakfast, lunch or dinner--he'll be eating out all 3 meals. Doesn't matter what cuisine, either, though I'm sure he would like to have some good Tex-Mex or Mexican while down there.

Vietnamese: Saigon taste (service can sometimes suck).
Spanish: Tabla
American: Ripe, Crave or G2 (Crave and G2 are not my personal favorites but they are very popular)
Thai: Tara Thai (just for lunch)
Tex-Mex: L & J
Mexican: Valentine's (I think they are only opened late night on weekends), Carnitas Queretaro, Crisostomo.
Burgers: Toro (# 4 best burger in TX/Texas Monthly), papaburger (only the one on Piedras st) or roscoes burger inn (#43 best burger in TX/ Texas Monthly).
Pizza: Cafe Italia (no reservations/gets ridiculously packed on weekends)
Italian: Ciao Sicilia (avoid cream based sauce dishes)-----
