Best Dumpling Deal in Town - New Chinese Place in Pointe St. Charles

I just got dumplings, six for $2, at a new Chinese place on Laprairie and Chateauguay in The Pointe. Pretty good and incredibly cheap. So far their other stuff is your average Chinese/American things. I wonder if they'd make anything a little more authentic if I asked nicely enough.

it really depends if they make them by hand or if they are pre-made frozen

I did get seven, though I only ordered six. I doubt they're giving everyone seven. Frankly, I don't care if they're not made by hand, the convenience of having dumplings on demand so close to home at just $2 is worth that $2. Anyhoo, I'm probably wrong but I think they are handmade. But I'm no dumpling expert.

well ya i agree $2 dumplings is good, especially next door. i've seen 6 dumplings for $3.50 here and there. Since I live in a dumpling-free zone, well kind of, I've opted for O'tasty brand frozen chicken and vegetable dumplings sold at Eden. These are by far the most flavourful frozen dumplings i've found. For sauce, Eden also sells a gyoza potsticker sauce which is a harmony of vinegar, soy and sesame

Sounds delicious. When I lived in Parc-Ex I used to get frozen dumplings at Soupson on Jean Talon. They're handmade by the owner and really good. I can't remember how much they were but I think it was around $3.50 for six.
