Kid Friendly Places to Eat in West LA / South Bay

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone had any good places to eat in the West LA / South Bay Area. I am planning a dinner for 9 people (including 2 toddlers) so the place must be good for kids and groups alike.

We prefer Italian or Mexican but feel we have been to the spots such as C & O's and La Sandia, one too many times. Please let me know if there are any restaurants that might meet these criteria. Our price range is moderate (10-20 per entree for basics such as pasta, fajitas, etc)

I always rec Border Grill when this comes up.

I like the food well enough and the ambiance is kid friendly. It's brightly painted, it's loud (so your toddlers noise won't bother anyone) and the staff is great with kids. They were always willing to bring over a little dish of rice or beans before the rest of the food came out so the kids would be occupied.

I get that some people don't like Border Grill and I'll confess it's not my all time fave or anything -- but it pretty much meets your criteria (Mexican, affordable, can handle a decent sized party, toddler friendly). I guess no one much cares about the celebrity chef thing, but some people might think it's neat that the Too Hot Tamales used to have a TV show.

While a lot of places can work just fine, some ideas for you would be - Kay and Dave's in either Culver City or Brentwood - great for toddlers, they definitely understand how to handle families, food is good (not earthshattering, but fine). Izakaya on 3rd near the Beverly Center is another great place for families if you want to go with sushi/izakaya. I haven't been to this location myself but a lot of my friends with smaller kids go to Pitfire Pizza on Washington in Culver City/Venice often, too.

Mama D's Italian Kitchen, good neighborhood Italian in Manhattan Beach. They love kids and it is just 1/2 block from the pier and the Roundhouse Aquarium.
