Restaurant with a separate room for small event?

pleen Aug 10, 2011 10:44 AM

Hi PDX Chowhounders! I'm planning a small birthday party (10-12 people) and looking for a good restaurant with a separate dining room. We are a loud bunch and I would hate to impose our noise-making on other diners!

Thanks in advance!

Andina is a great spot in NW. They have a variety of different private rooms and can tailor the menu to the groups' tastes as well. Plus they have great drinks and food.

do you have a budget or theme in mind? Marakesh do have a separate room and if you have 8+ people you can order a whole roasted lamb! I've been trying to plot an event for some of my friends to go try it out, but hasnt happened yet. So not sure how that would turn out, but the atmosphere is always fun for birthday. The food is pretty good, but not the best lebanese I've had. If you do decide to go there to get the lamb, they need 3 days in advance to prep.

Wildwood has a very nice private dining room, my memory is that it is fairly large. Park Kitchen has a very pretty room, in the front with windows overlooking the park blocks. Great food at both.

Tabla is another fabulous place - great food, great wines/cocktails, awesome value. Had a great 40th b-day there, and everyone enjoyed it.

              Second the Wildwood suggestion.

I don't know how many the room at Country Cat holds, but the food is sure good there.

The new (as in opened last night ;o) Wafu has a private room.
