Wonton Noodle Soup
Every sensible hipster in Montreal knows a good ramen place but I am truly dying for great wonton noodle soup. Where is the best place in Montreal? Suggestions please!

man the best was the jumbo shrimp wonton soup at the chinese place where yuki is now located
anyways, the yangtze has a great wonton soup amplified by those crispy dried noodles, green onions and slivers of bbq pork.
i also really like the shrimp wonton noodle soup at p+m
and who could leave out the spicy wonton soup at cuisine szechuan

re: celfie
I'm reviving this thread due to my own quest for a very good bowl of wonton noodle soup. I tried one (rather randomly) at Mon Shing recently. The broth was good, not too salty or msg-ish, wontons were okay, noodles rather good, but the soup had a few handfuls of silly vegetables ie. green peppers, broccoli, water chestnuts and canned baby corn! I'd really just like a classic wonton noodle soup like those I've enjoyed in Hong Kong, a little perfect bowl with a bit of spring onion. Any other suggestions than those already mentioned here?

re: Plateaumaman
Funny you should bring this up, Plateaumaman! I also tried a wonton noodle soup rather randomly yesterday at Lyla on Jean Talon (not sure of the exact address but it's between Hutchinson and Durocher). I'm certainly no expert, never been to Hong Kong, but I thought it was great - very flavourful broth, little delicate wontons, noodles in the bottom, some ultrathin slices of pork, and a few lengths of spring onion. Bean sprouts and chili served on a separate plate in case you want them. I had the large size, which was about $8 I believe, and it was certainly enough to keep me going all day. Lyla is packed at lunch any day of the week, which is always a good sign in my opinion.
