anyone know if they are serving up the ad hoc fried chicken at that new joint in the brentwood country mart, ??? someone mentioned that the chef used to work at ad hoc?

though i have heard that ad hoc addendum in yountville where they serve up fried chicken on a daily basis which they are famous for on monday nites.

I know that I've read somewhere, maybe Eaterla.com, that Bouchon in Beverly Hills has had some special nights where they've served the fried chicken. It is supposed to be amazing, but it is also amazingly priced.

At the other end of the spectrum, you can't beat the leg and thigh 99-cent special on Tuesdays at Popeyes. It is popular so there are lines and thus it is very hot and fresh -- very crispy and juicy, and the pieces are on the big side. Unfortunately (or maybe very fortunately) the closest to me is on La Brea not far south of the 10.

Yes, FarmShop (not "Stand") now offers the fried chicken every Sunday evening (3 courses plus sides = $43). Bouchon just had the fried chicken tonight (seems to be an occasional Monday theme, for $36 including sides). I have not yet tried the FarmShop version but the Bouchon fried chicken is excellent.

The Farm Shop fried chicken is the best I've ever had. What surprised me about the meal, however, was how good the salad, sides and dessert were as well.

in the recent LA Times review, SIV mentions that if you want more of anything from the 3-course prix fixe, you can just ask for it. Anyone happen to know if that would apply to the fried chicken meal?
