Stuck in Elmsford/Tarrytown-Any recs?

I am working all week in the Tarrytown/Elmsford area. Can anyone recommend any good restaurants for take out? The options seem limited at this point. Any recommendations appreciated. Thank you.

Jack & Dyl's is now a casual burger place. same owner, different concept/menu.

I've been meaning to try Horsefeathers though I don't go to Tarrytown more than a few times a year. The food is supposed to be very expensive from what I've read online. Their menu on the website thoroughly describes the burgers and such but is equally careful about omitting prices. If anyone would care to quote the cost of a bacon cheeseburger and fries, for instance, that would help me decide.

Honestly, we go there for the burgers, though there is a very extensive menu. The other food is somewhat expensive, but the burgers are reasonable. Maybe around $10-$12? There have been some arguments here that it's too expensive for burgers, but we think they are great and worth the price.

Here is a link to their menu with prices. We also like AJ's, but Horsefeathers is a very different kind of burger.

Good site valerie, I'm used to unaffiliated menu pages having loads of annoying pop up ads, taking forever to change screens, and most of the time having no menus! 11.95 isn't bad at all, I thought that might be the base price plus a dollar or so for premium fixins as some wannabee trendy restaurants charge. As for the other entrees, whoa! If they taste as good as they sound, then it's worth the money, but it seems I'll have to find that out myself.

You're right about AJ's being a casual burger versus something you'd find at a classier restaurant, but I've had plenty of disappointments at the latter.

Thanks everyone! By the way, has anyone tried the Pizza & Pasta place (Capri?) next to the Stop & Shop?

I love Pizza & Pasta aka Capri! I go there about once a month when I travel from the Hudson Valley to Long Island. The exterior is very drab I know. Everything is good here! The salads are huge, wraps are very tasty, and my kids love the pizza. The service is great too.

Not sure if they do take out, but we love the hamburgers at Horsefeathers in Tarrytown.

Pete's Tavern in Elmsford has great barfood, including burgers, for take out.
