Open Table $150 dining cheque -- where to use?
I have just decided to redeem my points from Open Table (OT), I have 3 (three) $50 dollar dining cheques, for a total of $150 worth of credit at any restaurant that participates in OT. I can do three different meals, or one "fancy" meal. At most there would be one other person coming with me...a friend whom I'd like to treat and have these experiences with me. I don't mind going out of pocket on the bill to make up the difference. Honestly, I really haven't figured out a budget yet, I want to hear what the best restos are on OT
I would like the food to be outstanding and CH worthy. I like all kinds of food, though I do heavily favor places that shop at farmer's markets (Rustic Canyon would be a good example). I live in West LA, but could go out of the way for somewhere special.
One of my thoughts was n/naka, since I want to go there anyway. Could go back to Rustic Canyon, too. But looking for other options--I've not done much "fine dining" or "expensive but rustic and non-haute cuisine" dining in LA.

Two suggestions for up-scale noshing. Melisse Restaurant for "in town" dining and Saddle Peak Lodge for "country" dining...

From a stingy bastard's point of view: I'd triple up and use 1 x $50 at 3 x 1000 point restaurant.
DineLA is also coming up, and you can basically do a Spago DineLA dinner for free using 2 checks. (Yes, Spago did accept OT cheques during DineLA).
Isn't Providence still doing their 6Y anniversary special? That's definitely an opentable resto.

Awesome idea to use them for 1000 pt reservations, Tony.
Ditto for DineLA!
I will have to check into the Providence special you mentioned.
Thanks!
