late dinner in Concord?

My colleagues and I are convening in Concord tonight--might not all be there until 9 or later. Is there somewhere we could grab a light bite that would satisfy some Chowish business travelers? Looking for a place with unfried food and a good wine list.

Thanks, all! Our plane was 2 hours late, so regrettably, we missed 80 Thoreau. Luckily though, armed with info from you, we tracked down Papa-Razzi's bar (open until 12:30) and had a lovely rainy night dinner of single malt scotch and breadsticks.

I do have to admit that I continue to wonder,

"Why on earth are you convening in Concord at that hour?"

Meeting at a local firm the next day. (an obvious question, though...)

And that only makes me wonder, "There are businesses in Concord large enough or important enough for people to fly in to visit?" Those people won't even let us run a folk dance 'till 11PM on a Thursday. As for the bar menu, it's just pizza and bruschetta, which makes it unsuitable for many or most groups. :-/

Not only that but Papa Razzi is adjacent to a hotel that surely houses business travellers in the main. There are plenty of large companies who have outposts in the surrounds like Acton and Maynard.

Obviously I don't know all the specific logistics, but you could stay in Harvard Square, and zip out quite easily the next morning to Concord.

So sorry you missed 80 Thoreau, but you really should try it the next time you come.

And your scotch and breadsticks dinner reminds me of a red wine and fried chickpea dinner I had not too long ago in Salem, MA.

You have to go to 80 Thoreau. And yes, even if you prefer wine (I do), you must order the gin and tonic. Don't miss the gnocchi, either.

do check out 80 Thoreau and ask for the bar menu as well, they will accomodate ordering off either. you should be happy there, I am told their gin and tonic with housemade tonic is delish

80 Thoreau's website says that it's open until 10:30. Reports on the food have been generally positive so far. Might be your best bet.

"Is there somewhere we could grab a light bite that would satisfy some Chowish business travelers?" Um, no. You are in a sleepy suburb. Why on earth are you convening in Concord at that hour? You will head to Chang An for mediocre Chinese food and like it.

Actually, is the Paparazzi still there? If you would prefer middle-of-the-road Italian food, their kitchen might be open at that hour. They serve wine.

Yes, Papa-Razzi is still there and they have a bar menu until 12. I don't know when the dinner menus ends.
