Gnocco, Da Andrea or Frankie Sputino for a family gathering?

  • 5

We're having a family gathering of 5 or 6. I'd like something that has a warm and friendly vibe, not wildly expensive, and great food. I've come up with Frankie Sputino, Gnocco or Da Andrea. Frankie Sputino is the only one I've actually been to, and I've always enjoyed it. Can anyone confirm that as the best choice, vouch for one of the others, or suggest something else altogether? It need not be Italian. Thank you!

  1. Does the fact that nobody has responded mean that nobody likes these restaurants?

Ain't Frankie a little cramped? Or could be perceived that way by some?

All the choices are pretty good. Da Andrea or Gnocco can accommodate the party a little easier probably. The former is a little more centrally located, and hassle free. Gnocco feeling a little more like a secret east village gem. Unless y'all hang in Alphabet City and Tompkins Square Park.

    2. I've only been to one in your list and that's Da Andrea. I'll gladly take my family gathering there.

      1. I love, love, love Frankies, and happily would take my family there.

        1. Hi. I can only comment on Gnocco. I have hosted two separate family gatherings there and everyone really enjoyed the food. I'd recommend asking for a table in the garden - it has a lovely atmosphere.
