Best Reno Casino Buffets?

23dex Aug 8, 2011 06:01 PM

Hi folks - we're going to be in North Lake Tahoe with family for a while, and a bunch of us will probably trek over to Reno for a day/night to see Hot August Nights. The casino buffets are a big hit with us, so I was curious which ones people would recommend? Last year we tried the Silverado for supper (ok-ish) and the High Sierra for lunch (seemed better). Are there any that distinguish themselves from the pack in Reno?

The Atlantis and the Peppermill have the better buffets. The Nugget right in the middle of the Sparks HAN activities is also good. There are much better places to eat in Reno than the buffets.

Buffets aren't what they used to be. I still haven't tried it, but the Sunday morning brunch at Sterlings at the Silver Legacy is supposed to be the best. I would avoid it during Hot August nights.
I'd suggest all-you-can eat sushi at Hiroba Sushi in Reno instead.

Or do the family-style dinner at the Santa Fe Hotel on Lake Street.

Sorry - the casino's we've been to before were the Grand Sierra and I think) the El Dorado.
