Looking for instant espresso powder

I like the Medaglia D'Oro Caffè Espresso Instant powder, but can't find it anymore. I *don't* do online ordering, because I won't pay shipping. Has anyone seen this in the central Los Angeles area, in a brick and mortar store? Much appreciation in advance...

  1. This may not help but I saw instant espresso at whole foods just this weekend - unfortunately the whole foods to which I refer is in NYC. But since it is a chain they might have it in LA.

    1. Surfas carries it.

      1. I bought it at Vons a couple of months ago. I think I saw it at Cost Plus.

        1. Gelsons, Bristol Farms, Vons, any good Italian Deli, Claro's.

I found it! It was in the coffee aisle in Ralph's, and marked as a "new" product -- and cheaper than at Target.

Thanks for the help, all. :)

              Which Ralph's?

The one at Hollywood and Western, across from the Red Line station. It was in th coffee aisle with the other instant coffees, on the top- shelf. I'm now one happy coffee addict...

I get it at three Ralph's in my area:

                  La Brea & 3rd
                  La Brea & Fountain
                  Wilshire & Hauser

The only place I've found it cheaper is online, and even then it's sometimes out of stock.

There's hope! New use, I added a tbsp to some butterscotch chip cookies. Decadent.

I feel sometimes like as soon as I discover some item, it gets discontinued! Megalomaniac, much?

          2. I bought some at Vons' this week.

BUT is is not in the coffee area. It is in Latin American products.

The more sources the better, thanks!

            2. Updating this -- the 99¢ Only Stores have a smallish jar of espresso powder, brand name, Granados, which sells for $1. I find it an acceptable substitute for the Megdalia D'Oro -- it has the same carmelly accent that the M D'O has, but for almost $3 less. Just thought I'd share...
