Lincoln, NE takeout

We are Boston hounds traveling cross country with kids/dog and will be stopping for a night in Lincoln. Looking for Chowish suggestions for good, interesting takeout that we can eat in the hotel or picnic in a park (obviously the dog and kids kill eat-in options). Willing to travel up to 45 min out-of-the-way for something good. Thanks!

Lots of possibilities depending on what part of town, price point, and cuisine. Sultan's Kite at 13th and O downtown might be a good start though. I am particularly fond of their falafel with green curry sauce. Another possibility would be the Oven for Indian.

Price range, national cuisine, location? Lincoln is a fairly spread-out city with a surprisingly diverse range of food available. Personally, I've fallen in love with Super Taco, a hole-in-the-wall at 56th and Holdrege that makes fantastic soft tacos (among other things) for less than $2 each. I've never done takeout there but I'm sure they're willing to do things to go. If you're looking for more upscale or some other kind of cuisine, there are lots of options.

Right about Lincoln being spread out. The only thing that keeps me from going to Super Taco even more is that it is in the NE part of town. If the OP is staying by I-80 it would be a great choice.
