West of Boston Fried Seafood Platter?
Okay, there used to be a little dive in Clinton to buy Fried seafood? I want some fried seafood in this area, but don't know of any "fish shacks" or little diners offering such items? I know this is not healthy but I have to do it a couple times this summer.

I can't speak for a platter cause I usually get clams of fish and chips, but Clam Box(DResser Hiil, Auburn, Brookfield) are excellent, and they also own Kay's in Westminster.

The Clinton Dive sadly closed a few years ago.
My top picks for fried seafood now in this area are:
1) Kimball's in Lancaster or Westford. http://www.kimballfarm.com/lancaster.shtml
2) Tinys Diner in Ayer http://www.tinysrestaurantayer.com/
3) Conrads in Lunenburg. http://www.lunenburg.com/business/con...Kimballs i think is the best bet cause i also love their onion rings and of course the ice cream

re: hargau
I completely never thought of Kimballs. Have never had the seafood..if it's your first choice Hargau, I will take my butt there (mind you it will be much larger when I leave!!) thank goodness for their sugar free ice cream. LOL this is my next endeavor, thanks!!! This is near me, as I live in Bolton MA!!

re: bostonwest
Yea if you live in Bolton i would definitely put Kimballs as 1st choice. The seafood is top notch. Lancaster or Westford. Lines usually shorted at Lancaster unless its friday night when they have the car show. 2 people can easily split a fishermans platter and still not finish it.

re: hargau
Another good choice is Twin Seafood in Concord MA. Mainly takeout but they have a few tables inside and out. They are opening a new location in West Acton soon.
They are not open very late though, we usually miss them for dinner by the time we figure out we want to go there.Im not a fan of Atlantic Sea Grill that others have mentioned.

re: hargau
The thing that annoys me about Kimballs is that even when I order the smallest size and specifically request that the scooper give me only one or two scoops, I still get an ice cream cone the size of a bowling ball and end up throwing half of it away, which is a waste. Can't share it, since we never agree on flavors.

re: Kat
On the ice cream topic. We go back up, ask for a lid and bring it home and put it in the freezer. I suppose that doesn't work if on the way to someplace else but we tend to always get ice cream on the way home. Usually after dinner somewhere. I think most people appreciate the large and generous sizes. We usually ask for "kiddie" size which is only level to the rim of the cup, certainly not bowling ball size. "small" is considerably larger than kiddie.

re: Blumie
Harry's is still going strong, krinkle fries and all. I have enjoyed the clams there (which I think are much more reasonable than Dairy Joy). But no idea about a Fisherman's Platter and haven't had the clams in a while, partly because their dogs and burgers were a better match on recent visits, but also I hate being disappointed with clams. But last I saw they had buckets of North Shore distributed (if not sourced) clams.
