More dress code questions?

After much reading, I am very confused what is dress casual and dress business. Do polos with dress pants meet the standard? As for women, I see nice capris with dressy tops at many very nice restaurant. Was wondering if it fits the bill for the above?

Any info appreciated! Love all the info on this board.

The precipitous decline in standards means that save for the Big Boys, a man can get away with clean bluejeans and a decent golf shirt. In Commanders etc. I see men without a jacket and tie but the shirt is usually a button down. Clancy's is a hybrid but lots of men, especially 50 and older, will have a jacket or a suit. I wear a suit to anything in a good hotel, any of the Old Line places. Ladies with me are attired either in dresses or look like Lady Lawyers.

Yes, it is to the point, that most restaurants will accept any guest, regardless of how they are attired.

Now, whether the diner will be comfortable, is another aspect, but CH does not like for us to talk about that.

Still, I feel that it is the duty of people on this board, to help visitors feel comfortable, while dining, but then, I am old, and have probably missed a memo, or two.

All depends on the restaurant. Which one are you referring to?

Tommy's, Nola, Eleven 79 or Vincent's, Atchafayala for Sat. brunch.
