Was one of our neighborhood favorites, the food is very good, have reccmended it on this board, and to many others. While the food is good, the management has taken a deep nose dive in recent months. False advertising of specials on the blackboard and facebook page, service which has given slow a new meaning ( despite having a large number of staff and not very busy). The kitchen is also very slow. Was there for brunch, it was not very busy, and while our orders were taken quickly, it took over 1/2 hour to deliver our pancakes!!!! We also found out ( with a note with the bill), that they were no longer accepting American Express. The person at the register said it was due to the economy. Would have been nice to know about this change BEFORE we sat down. Has anyone else noticed this?

  1. i live around the corner from Lansky's, but have only been two or three times. i never felt like anything was ever any good. sorry to hear it has gotten worse.

    1. In my experience a business that suddenly stops taking credit cards is preparing to close.

      1. like coasts, i live nearby but have only been 2-3 times. nothing fabulous, just curious as i noticed the $0.25 wings or slides on the outside board. was this the false advertisement. wondering how that played out for you re the specials.

        1. Went to dinner last night. Chicken soup was tasty, pastrami was yummy & warm, fries were hot & very good. Service and kitchen was quick. Maybe brunch doesn't work well, but dinner was great. Love the soup & 1/2 sandwich option!

          1. Have been to Lansky's twice for brunch. Kitchen is very slow. Do not go if you're in a hurry.
First time we enjoyed the meal. The second time, just a mediocre diner.
            Prices were reasonable though.
