Restaurants in Edinburgh
Theres the Witchery , proper gothic , totally "one off " and serving traditional Scottish produce , good prices and lovely meals i ve had there.Check out their website for the food pics i took during lunch and dinner.
For tip top michelin food the number one place to eat is Wisharts , prob best in Scotland.
The "Kitchin" is almost as good.
21212 is the place to go for innovative cutting edge food.
Wow - I'm shocked The Witchery still gets recommended. I was there last fall and it was all I could do to not walk out on The Witchery.
The Kitchin, however, was outstanding and has been on my Top 10 list of meals last year (I live in San Francisco and have dined in the U.K., France, New York, Spain, etc...)
All I can do is tell people to avoid The Witchery as over-hyped and very mediocre.
Carrie, I totally agree with you and generally if you look over the Edinburgh threads the general trend is to avoid The Witchery as style over substance. Each to their own though.
