Beer Cocktails

A search here and on Beer turned up nothing... I'm interested in learning the names of a few lesser-known beer cocktails so I can do some further experimentation and research.

I know about Lager & Lime, Shandy, Black & Tan., and Black Velvet. But there must be a lot of others.

Hi, petek: Forgot about that one. My wife calls that a South Dakota martini if it has an olive.

Mixology Monday was sponsored last month by Cocktail Virgin Slut featuring beer cocktails:

Writers from all over the blogosphere created beer cocktails. Mr Yarm summarized them in the above post, linking back to the blogs about the cocktails. Good fun and lots of ideas.

The "beer" tag on that site also had a lot of beer cocktail recipes too.

howsabout the Balboa, or a variant (AKA a flip) glass of beer with a raw egg.

Here is another thread on this topic. There are a couple different ones on it.

Picon Biere is nice change. Although you can't get Picon here, I've made mockups with Torani Amer or other bitters like Campari, Aperol, ... . A shot of the bitter in a pilsner glass, fill with beer. Especially nice in the summer.
