Superb Longan at New May Wah
I spotted some fantastic looking longan at New May Way in the Inner Richmond today. When I picked up a bag, it was heavy and I could smell the sweetness through the shells. I was not disappointed when I finally got home and popped some open. These are possibly the best longan I've ever had in the United States. The domestic growers (I think they are from Oregon?) are really getting good at what they're doing.
There was good looking lychee too, but for my money I'll take longan any day.
