MasterChef Australia Winner

Glad Kate won.
Michael still got a great prize though.

they had to do three rounds of tests this was the final challenge

The final Pressure Test round welcomed one of the world’s best chefs, René Redzepi, to the kitchen, who lifted a cloche to reveal the supremely technical ‘Snowman’ dessert the finalists would need to make. Featuring meringue, yoghurt and carrot sorbet amongst its many elements, this was undoubtedly one of the trickiest dishes ever seen on MasterChef Australia, yet both Michael and Kate proved their worthiness by plating up incredible dishes

....and that is why I hate the American version of MC.

René Redzepi (born 16 December 1977) is the chef and co-owner of the two-Michelin star restaurant Noma in the Christianshavn neighborhood of Copenhagen, Denmark. His restaurant was voted the best restaurant in the world in 2010 San Pellegrino Awards and 2011. Redzepi is noted for his work for the reinvention and refinement of a new Nordic cuisine and food that is characterized by inventiveness and clean flavors.

I honestly think that from beginning to end it was the absolute worst cooking season finale ever. It was incredibly boring and repetitive and showed almost no cooking. It was uncharacteristic of MC Australia. I loved watching the season...... but incredibly disappointing ending.

ps (not affecting what I just wrote at all- not happy at all Kate won even though Michael is a daddy's boy with a seriously annoying addiction to sous vide)

Agree the finale was one of my least favorite episodes of the season. Thought the season was good though.
