Poseidon Mediterranean Bar and Grill Robinsville, NJ

Does anyone know if this restaurant has opened yet? I heard it was supposed to open in mid July, but I have not been able to find anything online about it. I drove by a few weeks ago and it looked very intriguing. Anyone know anything?

I spoke with someone last night who ate there and said it was excellent and that the prices were reasonable. I'm hoping to check it out myself in the next couple of weeks.

I have eaten there twice already (just at the bar), and both meals were great. I order the grilled octopus and calamari ($12) to start. Both cooked perfectly and were very fresh. For my entree, I only had a salad, the arugula rustica salad, but it was a nice size with red and yellow grape tomatoes, mandarin oranges, red onion, goat cheese and a nice limoncello vinaigrette. My husband had the salmon entree that came with a decent size piece of fish along with roasted artichokes and a pesto sauce, julienne vegetables and grilled potatoes. He also enjoyed his meal.

I agree, prices are reasonable for both food and drink.

While we had a good experience with service, there were others around us whose meals were taking longer. This is, of course, to be expected with a brand new restaurant; however, Poseidon is a great addition to the town center and I think it will do well.

Is this in the same complex as DeLorenzo's?

Yes. On the corner, in the space that used to be Santinos

Not open yet, but it is close. The latest word was "2nd week of August".
They have a separate take out entrance for a seafood market and prepared food.
They have a liquor license, but it is not designed to be a "bar scene" like the prior incarnation.
Prices not known, but it is supposed to be moderate rather than very expensive.
The interior looks very nice, warm colors.

Thanks for the info. The seafood market and prepared foods aspect makes me even more excited.
