Early Sunday breakfast Midtown East
We will be heading back home for a long 9 hour drive on an August Sunday morning. We would like to have breakfast before we leave, hopefully at a restaurant not in a hotel. We will be around 50th and Madision. Thanks.

Depending on your budget, you might want to consider dbBistro Moderne, on 44th, b/t 5th & 6th. It is one of 4-star chef Daniel Boulud's restaurants. So, though it is located in a hotel, it is definitely *not* a "hotel" restaurant. On Sundays, breakfast is served from 8 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. While we've never had breakfast there (we rarely go out for breakfast), we have had lunch and dinner many times. The food is always excellent, so I'm sure breakfast would be as well. Good service and very nice atmospherics.
