I have been looking for the duncan hines dessert book the fourth printing from 1964. I have lost the banana cake recipe from pages 31 and 32. It is a paperback. It is nothing special but I have had requests for the cake because it was wonderful. I don't even remember. Not really your time period just taking a shot. Thanks for your help

re: qandieladie
The book is in e-book form at Google Books. It is a preview edition that does not display every page, but it does happen to have page 34 with the Banana Cake recipe (although it is sideways and they don't display a rotation button) you can view the recipe from this link: (scroll the page down slightly, using keyboard arrow keys or mouse scroll, to see the recipe displayed sideways).

You can buy a 2002 edition of the book (used) at Amazon.com starting at about $ 4.00 with about $ 4.00 shipping:

re: Antilope
I looked through Mrs. Lincoln's Boston cook book (1911), which is admirably opinionated. For example, the following opens the chapter on Pork:
Pork is an unwholesome meat, and should never be eaten by children, or people with weak digestion, nor, indeed, by anyone except in cold weather. (p. 245)
