Heavenly Delights Persian Sweets in Richmond Hill: Awesome

shekamoo Aug 6, 2011 04:38 PM

I have been meaning to mention this place on this board for some time. Persian influenced patisserie with great cakes, pastries, cookies, ice cream. I think when it comes to quality of ingredients and baking technique, I think this is by far the best place of its type in Toronto, and unlike Persian eateries, they actually have some competition. Whatever they do, they do very very well.

I think it depends on the items that you get. I'm not a fan of their mousse and haven't tried the tart or any of the cutesy looking pastries. Next time you're there, try the flourless walnut cookies (persian), the eclair or the cheesecake?

Have to call and let them know they have a flawed website since it does not list opening hours or days!!!

flawed indeed!! I hadnt looked closely at their website before. I am not sure about their opening hours myself either, I vaguely remember the sign at their door saying something like it is every day until around 8:00

I think the closing hours are a bit in a flux - the owner / pastry chef used to open quite late, past 10 but I notice that they close earlier now. I'll try to mention it next time I go by. I'm not big into sweets but I try and get cakes from whenever I can - their cheesecake is made with fresh ingredients, and their eclairs are made with fresh butter.
