Izakaya in Marin or Sonoma??
I just googled for izakaya in Marin or Sonoma County and came up with zilch. I'll be leaving my belovéd Montréal to visit a pal up there north of The City, and hoped I'd be able to go visit an izakaya with him. He loves black cod, but has never had grilled miso black cod. Any ideas??
We're also going to spend a couple days at our high school reunion in Sacto, but, as expected, there's nothing but sushi and a few raman joints. Sheesh.

Not an izakaya per se, but Hana Japanese in Rohnert Park has black cod mioszuke on the dinner menu. Black cod is caught in our local waters.
