  1. Apex, Horse Brass, Coalition brewing, Breakside brewing, Upright brewing, Migration, Bazi bier brasserie, Cascade barrel room, Baileys Taproom, Deschutes Brewpub, Burnside Brewing....

also, if you are staying on/near Hawthorne, you will be fairly close to a contender for the best pizza in America(yes, the entire country)! they have an excellent beer list(it_is_Portland after all) and should not be missed. Apizza Scholls is the name.....go. trust me.

Outside that area yet well worth it is Saraveza. Great food too. Freeway close.

    2. Also, the Belmont Station has a really thoughtful beer selection. The East Burn is pretty close to Hawthorne too and they have a nice selection of beer and pretty good food for a brew pub too.

Technically, EastBurn isn't a brew pub, they do not brew beer there. They do have a great taplist and good food though (and sadly, the good food is another indication that it isn't a brew pub...sigh ;o).

Spints also has a good tap and bottle list and good food.

Green Dragon has another great taplist as does Roscoe's (and Tanuki is going to be near there soon - bonus!).

If you like sours, do not miss Cascade, they brew stuff that is really different than the others around here.
