I also like ginger with tequila. Armsby Abbey in Worcester does a drink with blanco, ginger and pineapple. They're douchebags, but the drink is fantastic.

I'm not sure about the ginger beer--it seems like the original post was truncated. Muddled ginger in a Margarita certainly sounds pretty tasty though.

I'm bringing a "Margarita" bar to a party tomorrow. Just found Espolon blanco for $20 at SavMor / Alewife, Cambridge, MA. I'm going to bring the tequila and three pre-made mix-ins: Classic (Agavero orange liqueur, lime), Armenita (Peach liqueur, lime, green Chartreuse), and Margara (Creole Shrubb, lime, Cynar, Angostura Orange) Instructions for recommended ratio of Tequila to mix-in, ice, and some jars to shake in. Should be fun.

Hey, thanks for the tip Dan. Just about out of tequila and have been wanting to try Espolon. At $20 it's a done deal.

Is that their standard price or was it on sale or something?

That's the standard price. I tried the reposado a while back (I think I got it for $16 or so--some ridiculously cheap price) and was pleased. Not quite as smooth as some of the more expensive brands, but definitely good enough for a Margarita and a fantastic value.

yes, it is ginger beer added at the end , over the ice........its fantastic.
