Possible to add links?
Is there a way to add a link to a restaurant in the database to a post, if it's not picked up automatically when first entering the post? I realize there is a tab to click for "MANAGE YOUR LINKS" but it only appears when you first type the post. It doesn't show up when I go back to edit the post. So you can't see what the automatic function might miss, until it's too late to add a link, as far as I can tell. At that point, all you can do is remove links, not add them. Am I missing something?
EDIT: Never mind, I found it! When editing the post, I see the place just below the post where it says, "Type in the name of the restaurant or bar you wish to add". It works! Sorry for the question...
Another quirk of the function for adding links - and probably the reason why I couldn't figure it out at first - is, it doesn't work right after you create a post. When you create a post, at the bottom of the post, it says "Edit" right next to "Thanks for posting!" When I edit from this point, I can type in the name of the restaurant I wish to add, but clicking on the result doesn't "take", doesn't add a link by doing so. I have to refresh the page before that function will work.
I'm using IE8.
this interface was frustrating when I needed to go back in an edit to add links tomultiple restaurants. What seems to happen is that if a restaurant is added through the method above, it will not take (necessarily) unless the link actually shows below the box. Additional links can be added through use of that box, though it doesnot clear once the link info appears below so the previously added info has to be over-written..
Perhaps if this were reworked so that once the link was added the box cleared, it would be simpler to understand. I have got into all kinds of difficulty with repeated edits to add links.

...and you click on it where it shows below the box.

No, it's not user-friendly, but it works. Maybe Engineering could do something to make it more user-friendly. One other way of doing so would be to make it consistent with the way links are entered during initial entry - IOW so either way, the links would appear under the MANAGE YOUR LINKS heading.
what I meant is not that it shows in the drop down, and is clicked on, but it actually shows below that with a "remove" note beside it. that seems to be what needs to happen in this instance.
You are right, tho - its quite confusing when the method is different in initial entry and edit.
