dinner for 12 in or near hollywood with veg/kosher options

we are attending one of those adventure/experience parties this sat afternoon with dinner planned for our enitre group afterwards- we are all into food, cook and knowlegable- also very adventurous BUT here are the 2 catches- we will have just spent the afternoon running around, so we need to find a relatively casual place and more important- one couple is kosher so they need good veg or fish options- no crustaceans, no pork! the group of 12 on a sat night presents a slight challenge- would love some advice- thanks

  1. Depending on just how Kosher they are, you may have to find a Kosher restaurant. If it's not from a Kosher kitchen, it's not Kosher...even if it's just fish or vegetables.

I'm guessing if they are out "running around" on a saturday afternoon, they are probably willing to eat kosher-style rather than Kosher. Assuming the running around involves a car or paying for anything.....
What about one of the Fairfax Ethiopian places? One or two are vegetarian/vegan, but if you go to the omnivore spots, they will do the vegetarian foods on separate platters from the meats if you ask.

I've known people who are pretty strict about being Kosher, but not about anything else...

thanks- they are not of that completely restrictive catgegory- veg or fish a ta non kosher place would be fine- we are actually looking at loteria in hollywood- any comments?

Loteria is a good choice. Solid food. Very nice margaritas. Certainly fits the casual request.

also lots of vegetarian options at Loteria like their Nopalitos - Fresh Cactus Salad. Served with Salsa Verde and Queso Fresco served in tacos or burritos.

For someone who keeps kosher-style (willing eat in non-kosher restaurants, but sticking to fin fish and veggie dishes), Mexican is often a problem due to the lard. And the more authentic the place, the more likely they use lard, so a phone call ahead of time would definitely be in order.

        2. Maybe Marouch, on Santa Monica Blvd.?
