HELP! Small Wedding ideas in Rockefeller Center for this Christmas!

My Fiance and I met for the first time at Rockefeller Center last Christmas. We fell in love and plan on getting married this coming Christmas. Nothing would mean more to us than to have a small ceremony and reception around Rockefeller Center to commemorate our first date. We have a very small guest list of only 20 people (including us) made up of our immediate family, including our 5 children (ages 6yrs -12yrs), it's a second marriage for both of us....we are in our mid forties.

Here's the rub: We are only able to scrape together $2,500 for the ceremony and reception. We are looking at an afternoon ceremony/reception on Christmas Day. We are open to all creative ideas and suggestions. Thanks in advance for any help!

  1. As you know, there are two restaurants on either side of the skating rink: Rock Center Cafe and The Sea Grill. Rock Center Cafe has a private dining room that seats up to 25, which would be perfect for your party. I would suggest that you contact their private events person, describe your situation, and see if something can be worked out that would fit your budget.

Best wishes on your impending marriage.

    1. I have 2 suggestions but don't know if they will accommodate you on xmas day or not. Brasserie Ruhlman has an inexpensive banquet menu for private lunches starting at around $50 per head. The Terrace Club is private but they might also be accommodating and they are attached to a hotel. Not sure of their pricing but they are fairly new and may be looking for business.
You could also check with the hotel - I think its called Jewel to see if they have a room or suite that might work for you.
      Congrats on the big day.

        1. I attended a rehearsal dinner two years ago in a club with a view of Rockefeller Center from its terrace. It's the 3 West Club. I remember that the food was good. I was a guest so I can't tell you about the pricing.

I had my wedding there last year. The food was great, service was good, everyone had a good time. There are different spaces you can rent and it's the solarium that overlooks Rockefeller Center. It was about $150 per head, a little more to have the ceremony there, plus tips, etc.
