Crabs in Northern Virginia

Looking for a place to get crabs (to bring home to eat) in Northern Virginia. How much should I expect to pay for a bushel?

  1. It all depends on the size of the crabs and whether they are male or female. A bushel of mixed females will run you are least $100 and a bushel of large males somewhere around $200.00 plus Not sure where to purchase them in NoVa I usually get from Captain White at the Maine St Fish Market or Shoreline in Crofton MD

    1. Try Captain Pell's in Fairfax. Not sure what the going rate is, but give a call.

            2. Crosby's in Manassas. www.crosbyscrabco.com. A friend got a bushel last week at Blue Ridge Seafood in Gainesville-large males were $191.00/bushel. www.blueridgeseafood.net. They are a restaurant, but also sell retail seafood.
