Anniversary dinner in North Fork

maxine Aug 4, 2011 07:50 PM

my husband and I are thinking of driving out to North Fork from the city for our one year anniversary but we don't know any of the restaurants out there. Any ideas for someplace special? North Fork Table and Inn?

Definitely North Fork Table & Inn. Nothing else even comes close.
    Happy anniversary!

What type of food and ambience are you looking for?
North Fork Table and Inn is excellent. Some other suggestions:
      Jamesport Manor
      Bayview in So Jamesport
      Cooperage, Baiting Hollow
      North Fork Oyster Co., Greenport
      The Riverhead Project, Riverhead
      Frisky Oyster, Greenport

      Frisky Oyster
27 Front St, Greenport, NY 11944

      Riverhead Project
      300 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901

North Fork Table is probably tops. I would add Luce & Hawkins (in the Jeddediah Hawkins Inn). Also read good things about Comtese Therese Bistro (French); I haven't been but am planning to get there in Sept for fist time.

I agree with Dyna. We celebrated our anniversary at North Fork Table and Inn last year, and it was wonderful.

I've been hinting at my husband to take me to North Fork Table and Inn for my birthday... but my birthday is in December. Has anyone been there so late in the year? I'm looking at the wonderful summer menu and wondering how the menu in December would compare.

The menu in December is just as excellent. Definitely go for it, and hooray for december birthdays!
