Rehearsal Dinner in Sonoma

We are looking to do a rehearsal dinner in Sonoma proper or perhaps somewhere in that valley if we can't find a place in town. We need a place that can handle 25 or a place we can shut down. Foodie focused. Doesn't have to be extravagant, but should be tasty. If it were in LA, I'd say something like Luccues or AOC or Locanda Venetta if that helps.

  1. You will probably need to shut down a place. Zazu in the RRV comes to mind. In the town of Sonoma, The Girl and the Fig is very good. I don't know either's policies on taking over the restaurant for a night.

Don't know if it will do a buy out, but Fig Cafe in Glen Ellen (just north of the town of sonoma) owned by The Girl and the Fig folks is smaller and more casual, and might be more amenable.

I actually thought of Fig Cafe also. About the right size for 25 or so (Girl and Fig is too big, IMO). Definitely worth considering.

    2. We had our rehearsal dinner at Ca'Bianca in Santa Rosa, CA -- excellent Italian food. We had about 60 people at the dinner. We had a beautiful wedding the next day at Madrona Manor, but the rehearsal dinner was equally impressive. Personally, we are from LA and have been to Lucques and AOC...and believe it or not I enjoyed my meal at Ca'Bianca just as, if not more...and good prices
