Hunan changes coming [Fresno]
At a small lunch chowdown last Saturday Chef Liu shared some information with us. He plans to close most likely in September for about 4 months in order to expand the current location (knocking out the west wall). The menu will have a few as yet unkown changes.
He is also looking into setting up new venue, likely in Clovis, that will feature higher end cuisine and more of a fine dining place. Stay tuned.

Would love to have him in our area! Got a place opening up across the parking lot from us that would be great.

Now that it's the last day of September, what's latest word on the schedule for closure? Can't believe it's been two years since my previous meal there.

I asked Kathy that exact question today, she said they're still waiting on the City permit process and don't really know yet.
She also asked me to put it out there to the hounds that they are back to being open 7 (seven) days a week (and apparently have been for a year or so) so I apologize for an earlier post I made saying they were closed on Mondays.
It looks like the weather's finally going to give us a taste of fall so maybe it's time to rally the Bay Area hounds for a chowdown before the remodel starts.
