Dinner in Littleton NH
My husband and I are travelling to Littleton NH early next week. Any suggestions for dinner?

Or drive fifteen minutes south. Sugar Hill inn for fine dining. Franconia Inn for just below fine dinning, or above the notch for higher end pub food.
Sugar Hill in is very good, prix fixe, small but reasonable wine list.

Bishops to me (Ice cream) is overpriced and overrated. Had great experiences at Chang Thai, and am sorry to hear about dayvuu's.
If you're in the mood for unpretentious Swiss fare, the restaurant at the Wayside Inn in Bethlehem is very nice, and the cocktails are excellent.

The Littleton Diner has the best corned beef hash I've ever had also.
We stop there 2-3 times in October and just have the hash---it's that good!
Baliwick's has a good martini bar but the best food we've had in Littleton is at the Beal House.
We sat at the bar last year and had dinner there and the meal was excellent and the prices were reasonable.
We plan to go back there again this Fall.
Also will try the Little Grilled this year;thanks for the tip!-----

I forgot about Chang Thai. Nice Thai restaurant right on Main Street. Good for lunch ( very good prices) and dinner. Never heard a bad comment about it. And I agree with the Littleton Diner Corned Beef Hash comment. The diner has become a must-go destination for our adult out-of-town guest because of the hash, much like Chutters is for kids (and other candy lovers) who visit.

re: dayvuu
Spoke too soon. After dropping hundreds of dollars there since the place was opened, we won't return.
Advice to those who do choose to stop in: Check your credit card slip carefully to make sure the server doesn't automatically add a gratuity. Their policy is to add it to groups of 6 or more (or "sometimes we don't" they say.)
The server did add it to a check for two teenage boys, one a foreign exchange student. Unaware, they added a tip (ironically, a larger one than the server believed she earned herself.)
Short-sighted and sleazy, if you ask me. Fortunately, there are plenty of honest operations in the area.

The Little Grilled has a great menu of delicious choices. I like the buffet nights where you are served all you can eat from scrumptious platters. The prices are good too. Hit the Littleton Diner for breakfast. It made Food TV top list for pancakes.

Depending on your budget, I'd suggest:
Bailiwicks or Timb'r Alley, both on Main Street and both higher end cost-wise.
Lower on the cost spectrum is Rosa Flamingo's in Bethlehem.
I've not been to Elements in St. J (which the other poster recommended and is 20-25 minutes across the river) but have heard good things about it.)
Meadow Street Ice Cream (a walk-up stand) is attached to a restaurant that some people speak highly of for reasonably priced fried seafood. They sell Slick's ice cream, which is made just south of here an quite popular.

If you don't mind driving 20 minutes or so Elements in St. Johnsbury (VT) is excellent.
