Calgary soup and sandwich

Looking for the best soup and sandwich place, in Calgary, would prefer just off of downtown, but can travel. Most restaurants only have one regular type of soup, plus possible their soup of the day. Any suggestions? My mother is coming in to visit, and she said she wants soup, but after looking online for a while I feel stumped? Looking for any soup, but more traditional would be ideal. thanks all!!

    I like Rustic Sourdough on 17th Ave. There are only a few tables, but I love their sandwiches and soup combo. Another place I enjoy is Vendome Cafe in Kensignton. Great butternut squash soup and duck confit sandwich.

      Does the restaurant in the Marriott downtown still do their soup & sandwich bar lunch? We used to go there when the lines at the (long since closed) Lazy Loaf & Kettle in the Glenbow got too long. Lazy Loaf & Kettle would be a good option too - dunno if Parkdale is too far out of downtown for you however.
