If you had to review 6 Pizzeria's in SE Michigan..what would they be?
After seeing Columbus get its 6 Pizza Mecca's done....what would you consider worth while for SE Michigan.
For me...
1. Supino's
2. Cellar 849
3. Pizzeria Biga
4. Original Buddy's on Conant
5. Cloverleaf
6. Tomatoes Apizza

I like your list JP. Two comments--
I'd sub-in Tivoli's Wood Brick Oven Pizzeria (45257 Van Dyke Avenue, Utica) for Cloverleaf, admittedly because I just haven't yet tried Cloverleaf. And, I'd say good luck getting off this thread alive, by listing Buddy's instead of Loui's. ;-)

Oh, come now VTB. I'm as staunch a supporter of Loui's as one might find, and even I think Buddy's is, on a decent day, a good product. It's certainly my go-to place...when Loui's happens to be closed. ;)
I swear, though: there seems to be some uncanny mystique about the original location on Conant, though...what's that all about?

There is one one Buddy's location to me...Conant.
...and I am sorry...but Loui's just didn't do it for me.

I sort of think Buddy's, Cloverleaf, and Loui's all need to be tested against one another.
But then, if you're going to do Loui's do you have to do Shields...?
I like JP's list AND I think Tivoli's is a good idea. I didn't realize it would be this tricky to narrow it down. Fresco Wood Oven has been getting a lot of love lately, is it worth mentioning?

Indeed, Fresco Wood Oven as well as Crust. Tough choices.

Finally - somebody besides me mentions Crust!

We did a Chow meetup there once already for lunch...

....I would have loved that. Have been meaning to go there and see if they can make a close approximation of Biancos Rosa pie...

Nope...
I had the Rosa just a few months ago and Biga is good...but not that good. The Crust at Bianco was to die for...
I think Cellar 849 comes closest to Bianco's locally.
Supino's is a bit different but my favorite locally....
