Southern Nassau restuarants?

Hi,
We're hosting a small family gathering for my parents 40th wedding anniversary and are looking for a restaurant on the South Shore of Nassau County for dinner. There are 7 diners, plus a baby, so a private room is not necessary but would be nice. Open to any cuisine, just looking for a quiet, family-friendly spot with better than average cuisine.

Cafe Symposium in Massapequa might be nice. I haven't been there in a while, but their food is delicious.

I would suggest the Piccola Bussola restaurants, but they're in Huntington and Westbury.

I'm sure there have to be some great finds in Rockville Centre - but that's out of my milleu (unfortunately!)

I don't know of a Cafe Symposium in Massapequa. Did you mean Cafe Symposio in Bellmore?

It's been quite a while since i've been there, but I was unimpressed.

Yes, the one in Bellmore. I was there about 6-7 years ago and I really enjoyed the meal.
