Can't browse Portland board: Requested Range Not Satisfiable

You can go to individual threads if you've bookmarked them.

But going to the Portland board produces:

"Requested Range Not Satisfiable

None of the range-specifier values in the Range request-header field overlap the current extent of the selected resource."

I'm using Chrome on a Mac running Lion, but doubt that's the issue.

(Is there an email address for reporting bugs? This isn't really a discussion. Thanks)

  1. Are you referring to http://chowhound.chow.com/boards/64 ("Metro Portland")? It's loading ok for me on Chrome in Linux (though I agree that the browser/OS is not likely the culprit in this case).

    And bug report threads like this can actually be more useful than emails; other users that have seen the problem are often able to provide more information.

      yes to the board link. Fine from my iPhone. Will clear the cache when I get home and see if it's still there. Thanks.

        Then, unless you see it again at home after the cache-clear, I would suspect that this was a one-off caused by the infrastructure upgrades. Apologies for the trouble.

          Something's still off. When I clicked the board name now (Chrome 12.0.742.122 on Lion), I got an error page:

          This webpage is not available
          The webpage at http://chowhound.chow.com/boards/64 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
          Error 330 (net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED): Unknown error.

          And then when I reloaded, fine. Might be worth seeing if it shows up for anyone else.
