    Carpi's Restaurant
    320 E Katella Ave # H, Orange, CA 92867
    Phone: (714) 639-3551

This used to be an Italian/Argentinian restaurant for years, owned by a couple from Argentina. The Argentine mother of one of my high school friends used to get her empanadas here. Now a Mexican place (can't remember the new name, phone/address is the same), but the last time I was there, the empanadas were still wonderful. Hope they remain that way.

Ham & cheese and beef are available. I call and order in advance. Wonderful, bubbly crust that's perfectly fried (not greasy). Make sure to eat the ham & cheese while still warm.

I've been here three times and keep ordering different flavors and I'm never disappointed. I highly recommend it. I like the ground beef, chicken, pork and steak. The mushroom and ricotta are also quite good. It's not to far from you so I'd give it a try.
