Lunch in eastern CT...considering Harvest in Pomfret or your recs..maybe even northwest RI
We are going to spend a day in eastern CT and possibly RI...mostly in Putnam area checking out the antique shops. We have driven by Harvest a few times and I have wondered about it. How are they for lunch? What other recommendations do you have for that area? We have been to The Vanilla Bean Cafe and The Court House Cafe a few times already. Who knows where in that area we will be. There is an antique shop over the border in Rhode Island too so maybe northwestern RI could be a possibilty. We are finishing the day at Sharpe Hill Vineyard for dinner. Thanks, Richie
The Harvest used to be exceptional, but after they changed ownership, we had a so-so meal there and have heard the same thing from friends. My favorite spot in Putnam is Bella's Bistro. They have a very good lunch and dinner selection, and the menu changes based on the local fresh ingredients available.
